Introducing

Hand farmed, Direct trade and Shade grown

Peang Thai coffee is grown in the Northern village of Phahee in the province of Chiang Rai. The coffee is shade grown which means the coffee shrubs are planted underneath the existing rainforest. The benefits of this are innumerable but some of which include, no deforestation to grow coffee, the coffee shrubs are part of the natural nitrogen cycle of the forest eliminating the need for chemicals. The same is true for insecticides as you have the natural flora and fauna in the eco-system to control pests and of course the slower rate of growth results in a far more flavoursome coffee.

We work directly with the farmers so proceeds go directly to the them and not third and fourth parties. They receive well over twice the average Fair-Trade price for their beautiful coffee and we are extremely proud to bring it to you.
